The story begins against a black backdrop, as an all too familiar voice opens the dialog. Her voice is calm, but concerned, as if she has but the smallest pieces to a much larger puzzle as her mind struggles desperately to try and see the larger picture, she states...
Calista: "Some thing's not right."
Sarah: What do you mean?
As she asks the question, for the first time we see Sarah sitting across from Calista in what appears to be comfortable modern living room. She too is probing for answers to her own questions and feelings. Watching Calista's body language Sarah notices her nervously rotating the glass of water in her hand.
Calista: I know who the two of you are, but, its like, I know that I shouldn't know. Its as if I know your name, I remember you, but it all seems out of place, almost like its...
The scene cuts out, as quick little snippets of time flash before our eyes. Images of Calista in her feyish attire from a medieval world, to Sarah in her trench coat walking down a damp and dimly lit modern street, to Helen hopping out of some type of futuristic flying vehicle in a very tight flight suit, at which point the third character buts in and completes Calista's sentence as she stands there looking out over the city through the glass door to the porch.
Helen: Out of time
Sarah: Its like the three of us were meant to know each other, as if through some odd twist of fate.
Calista: As if we are suppose to meet each other.
More images, this time memories of different eras, but from each another image of the girls, one from the past, one from the present, and one from the future. In each quick flash they appear to know and recognize each other. And as these scenes build up rapidly, visually establishing that some greater force has drawn these three together, Helen's voice asks...
Helen: The question is why? What do we all have in common? What is the thread that binds the three of us together?
And as the three girls look at each other the answer becomes clear. The scene shifts, and we see that he has his back to the camera. As he begins to turn there is a quick flash. From the first flash we see him in with his medieval leather jacket, and sword slung across is back, with the second flash we see the jacket has been replaced with a SWAT vest, and as he completes the turn we see the upper part of his uniform collar with his rank... Commander. And then Anthony smiles.
Helen: Does this mean we'll never have known him?
Calista: More than likely, it'll be as if he never even existed at all.
Sarah: So I guess the question for us is, do we damn him for ourselves, or do we risk losing him forever to save him.
