Very long sentances. And capslock. And crocodiles.

Yet another weekend seems to have passed me by. The good news is that I have actually done some homework this time (gasp!) including my maths (GASP!) and have made even more progress on my driving and looked at Unis a bit on the web and finally gone to Currys' [1] to sort out Tigris again; the bad news is that I have not been able to see Helen due to the malign baleful influence of her Frenchy, and now probably will not do so until Friday, and have read virtually nothing and have failed make any more headway in the Bedroom Conflict (although the great cupboard campaign was concluded satisfactionally with a great many casualties inflicted on the enemy, the sub-tabular skirmishing remains inconclusive, the below-bed catacombs infestation still survives and my desk is still no-man's land - and that's even before I can start renovating my wall...) or polish my shoes or get a haircut or buy a new bag.

On the other hand, on Friday I did get to see meine_kleine and Lucia (and bumped into pleezpleezme in town, whose hair does look stunning) and had much fun, and bought a crocodile. (THIS IS A SECRET. DO NOT TELL ANYONE. AND TELL YOUR MOTHER NOT TO TELL ANYONE EITHER, IF SHE BRINGS IT UP. OR IT WILL BITE YOU) And then Lucia came back to my house because she decided to borrow my copy of World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie Wars which also made me very happy, as did the fact that my super-senior publishing contact (who is now replacing Temp-Boss (who replaced Big!Boss, who replaced Temp-Boss before she was Temp-Boss) and will soon be known as New-Boss) told me that Un Lun Dun is now out. Or that they have it now, or something. The details do not matter. Un Lun Dun!

Also my mother was predictable again, and I have ended up listening to Dido twice, and one of those times was on purpose.

And that bodes ill for us all.

[1] I know. It pains me too. But that is how they write it, may they be plagued with a thousand pimples. [2]

[2] Each. [3]

[3] Apart from anyone involved in getting me my Tigris back. CD players are all very retro, but a guy has needs...

lucia, work, zombies, huge run-on sentances, liz, tigris, crocodiles, alison, capslocks, footnotes
