Somebody tried to break into my car AGAIN!!!!! WHATtheheck is going on here? The first time, about 6 weeks ago, they did something to the lock on the drivers side so that the lock face fell off and the insides of the lock were hanging out of the hole, which looked as though they had taken a can opener to it. The funny thing???? They went to all that trouble and didn't even get in the car! HA! I could have told them that messing around with the lock would do them no good--when i lock my keys in the car it takes the AAA people at least 30 minutes to get into the Republican. So I could still unlock the door from the drivers side if I was very gentle and careful, but it really wasn't worth all the trouble to do so and I usually unlocked it from the passenger side and then went around to the drivers side.
SO. I left at 4:30am for work and see that now, the lock's insides were completely missing. They had been jiggly, but I looked all around the ground and didn't see that they had fallen out. And there were more scratches. So these fools tried the same thing, even going to the extent of removing most of the lock itself and they STILL DIDN'T GET IN!!!!!!!! That car is a tank. I thought, "now if they were so fixated on getting in the car, why didn't they break the window?" I mean, I see cars here regularly with broken out windows. My theory is that they tried to break it and the bat itself probably broke! Well, bat or whatever cudgel-style implement car thiefs use for their dastardly purposes.
At any rate, there is NOTHING to steal in my car--the tape deck doesn't even work anymore. And what would anyone besides me want with a 1994 Oldsmobile?
Maybe someone is purposefully vandalizing my car in particular? I can't think of anyone who hates me at the moment. At least enough to vandalize my car.
I don't like the idea of walking around in a parking lot at 4:30am when there are criminals regularly in the vicinity.
If they decide to be cute and move on to the pasenger side, I won't be able to get in the car at all.
