Signs of Life......

What a couple of months its been....As usual I've been keeping up to date with everyone elses journal and ignoring my own.

Quick run down -

Met the b/fs sister - not so scarie.
Chrissie with the Family - not so bad.
Not so Little Bro came to stay - very cool
Picked a House to buy - not so easy
Sold our house - Head spin
Applied for a New job - fingers crossed.
Now trying to shove George into Tafe whilst waiting for Houses to settle and news from the dream job.

Long Story...

Syl's sister Jassie came to stay with us a month or so ago. I wasn't sure what to expect since I'd never spoken to her and kept hearing some very interesting stories about her. She turned out to be very cool and nowhere near as scarie as I was thought she might be.

Syls Mum and her Bf came and stayed with us over the Chrissie hols. It was cool to have some different people around and also good to have someone drag George off her arse, out of her room and out of the house for a change.

New Years was a quiet night cuz we had to head over first thing in the morning to pick up my not so little Bro. It was good to see him again. It's weird how much he's changed. He used to be this reeeeaaallly annoying attention seeking brat (adhd)who along with George and their constant bickering would drive me completely insane. Now he's almost a totally different person. He's quiet, serious, pretty laid back and he's really gotten himself together. It's very cool to see and I'm really gonna miss him when he heads back.

Over the last month I've been draggin Syl and the kid/s to check out houses. I had decided if we wanted to sell up and move that we needed to do it before Chrissie..(HAHAHAHAHAHAHA...) In my attempt to look at every possible house in the beenleigh areaish we managed to kill the clutch in our car and get a speeding fine but we did find a few. We decided to put an offer in on a 3 broom highset in Browns Plains and We spoke to the real estate agent on the wednesday night. On Thursday night we spoke to our real estate agent Alan about putting our place on the market. On Friday our place was on the market and out contract of offer was lodged on the other place. Sat morning we started cleaning the house up, doing the gardens and whatnot. At about 10.00 I got a call from the other agent saying that our offer had been accepted - Wooohoooo!.....A few minutes later I call from our own agent - they had a few people they wanted to bring through to look at our house (arrrgh - disaster zone) "Sure" I said "don't mind the mess..." and off I went to drop off the lawn mower and the rest of the paperwork for the house we wanted to buy. On my way home (about 1.00) Syl rang to tell me to hurry up - someone had put an offer in our house and he wanted me to sign! Wooohoooo!!!.. Not bad - we'd been prepared for it to take weeks - but the house was only on the market one day and it was only about 3 hours between us buying and selling. :) Needless to say Syl and I spent the rest of the afternoon in shock.

One of the draws for heading to the beenleigh was the job I've applied for and really really really want...It pays almost twice what I'm getting now, includes 3 mnths training and gets me away from this place which is really beginning to piss me off....Hopefully I'll know in the next week or two if I'm successful...Fingers double crossed..

In the meantime hopefully we'll get George enrolled and settled into Tafe. She's taken forever to decide what she wants to do - and now she's stuffing around the enrolment. I'm sick of having to push her for stuff she wants - I don't care if she goes to TAFE or school - just bloody well do something!!!

Eh - we all know what a pushy cow I am.
