Interesting that DCA is a by-product of chlorination, implicated in carcinogenesis. It also seems to have a high side-effect rate.

It also has no patent, meaning it could be manufactured for a fraction of the cost of newly developed drugs.

Excellent.
It appears the side-effects may be a bit of a problem, but the benefits appear to far outweigh the negatives. I'll happily donate to any charity that supports the human trials.

Listening to the audiobook of Lance Armstrong's biography on Radio National this morning leads me to believe that the side effects cannot be worse than what happens on chemotherapy...
