I've had to avoid all manner of animals while out running, beyond the usual cats and dogs. Animals like turtles, snakes, raccoons, deers, and possums. But yesterday was one I still can't believe.
Sitting on the asphalt was a mated pair of Mallard ducks. Sitting. On the street. Being wild animals I assumed that they'd get out of my way. As I got closer, they both got into defensive positions. Within feet of them they reared up to attack position.
I went around.
