Serious post is serious.
Okay, so.
I realize I've been more or less dead to the world ever since last summer, and I hate the fact that the first post I make after such a long while is over something like this, but it can't be helped.
Straight to business then:
Due to a situation a friend of mine has faced because people can't mind their own business and have used said friend's public posts malignantly, causing a very difficult situation, I've decided to finally do what I've been thinking of doing for years. I started the process of locking my entries, with only a few entries left public (e.g. stuff meant for anon commenting and such...). Thus, from now on my livejournal will be friends only.
Which kind of sucks, because I wouldn't even keep a livejournal, much less a paid account, if I didn't want to share my life with people. But seeing as my trust in people has lessened quite a bit over the past year, it can't be helped. As soon as I'm done locking the entries, I'll search for a new layout and create a nice little friends only post.
But yay for me being alive.
