I just want to start by saying that concerts ROCK! I seriously can't believe I just discovered the beauty of live music until this year. I've been missing out on the most amazing experience ever. It is far better than any movie you will ever see. The energy is intoxicating and just standing there, letting the pounding soak through you. You can feel the bass beat through your heart. Everyone around you is screaming and moving. The lights are going nuts and the band is on that stage belting it out. They're putting forth so much amazing effort and power, you're just drawn in.
For some reason, live music just makes it better. Doesn't matter what song. Unless the band sucks ::cough::mychemicalromance::cough::; then it's fruitless effort.
So tonight I went to my third concert this month. We saw Keane and let me just say they were AMAZING. I am so impressed by them. Their live music sounds almost just like their recorded music and yet it was still an amazing concert. Just being there with those enormous speakers, with everyone else, with them on stage hammering those notes--gah! So. Good.
aquathena12525, I canNOT believe you skipped it! Seriously. Free AMAZING concert and you bailed on me. Gosh!
Oh yeah, so in the middle of the concert, suddenly this girl starts pushing through the crowd to the back from the front. She breezes past us and comes back a few minutes later with 4 security guards. They push through the crowd toward the front where several people form a train and leave. It was pretty dramatic even though I couldn't tell what was happening at all.
Unfortunately, I have no pictures from my Keane adventure. However, I do have pictures from Lifehouse (courtesy of
aquathena12525) and a few ridiculously low quality ones from Green Day (which I technically never took in the first place because I supposedly didn't have a camera).
Lifehouse
Look, it's me and
aquathena12525 chillin' out on the floor right after the openers finish. We're waiting for Lifehouse to really begin :)
Jason Wade is so hot and talented. It's too bad he's already married.
It's the whole crew! Look, their outfits are so classy.
Green Day
Lindsey and me before the show (taken totally illegally).
In media res. Unfortunately we were pretty far away and therefore the picture quality sucks.
At the end of the show, they threw up all this confetti. It was very pretty.
