Long time since I updated this

Well things are quite a bit different for me since I last updated this thing. I am now a college graduate out seeking a job in the world of radio. Big struggle ahead for me. So far I have sent out a bunch of resumes but the most recent 4 were today. I applied for a job as Production director at Chicago's WJMK Oldies 104.3, an afternoon talk show host in Janesville, Wisconsin, a job as an assistant editor for a newsmagazine show on WBEZ in Chicago (ironically this is 91.5 FM, WGRE's frequency) and a news job in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Hopefully one of them will hit and I'll be on my way to a job and getting out of my parents house.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention that for the time being I'm living in the old house in Skokie, but its not all that bad. At least not so bad that it's unbearable, but it is odd being at home for the foreseeable future. This is especially odd since my sister just graduated 8th grade and really is getting all set for high school brat mode. Oh well I guess that's just the crazy turns of life.

In other news, Jenny visited me from 3 days prior to graduation to this past Saturday. All I can say is I am in love with this girl now more than ever. Every time I am with her things just seem to get better. I mean we went and saw Shrek 2 and Harry Potter 3, as well as a few more just on TV and rented. We also had fun with bowling (I beat her by 32 pins in the biggest upset since the Miracle on Ice, yeah I'm a pretty shitty bowler and she's good), then she killed me mini-golfing a day later. Last Friday we went to the Enchanted Castle - think the midpoint of a Chuck E. Cheese and Dave and Buster's. While there Jenny, my sisters Annie and Tina, and myself amassed over 1600 tickets in carnival style games, and yet we still managed to only get crap. Well at least Jenny got a glass out of the deal. We also hit up the laser tag arena there. Annie had the highest score of the 4 of us, but that's cause Jenny and I only went after Annie and Tina, and their team had two girls that could not have been any older than 6 that we were trying to avoid stepping on. Needless to say the team that Jennifer and I played on won the battle, but only cause we had these 4 crazy junior high boys playing alongside us that went all out. Saturday was bittersweet when we had to say goodbye. It was hard for me, but I know that I'll get to see her more often than last summer which is a major league plus. I can't imagine how I survived without her before and I know more and more that this is the woman that I want to spend the rest of my days with.

Well that's it for now. I'll comment on other stuff later like bball and the like but for now this sports lunatic is just talking about life.
