Rain Delay Theater
Yet another major league rain delay. What sucks about this is, its the Yankees and Boston- no way this gets rescheduled so they will force it through tonight or tomorrow, which means massively long day. Before I get into anything else I do want to ask why can ESPN's national broadcast have only one canned programming arranged for rain delays. I worked 3 rain delayed games back on the weekend of the fourth of July and each game the rain delay programming was a recap of the 2003 ALCS and NLCS. Well I got sick of it, now its another rain delay and what are they playing, the exact same pacakages.
OUr little station pulled off a pretty big heist in the last couple of weeks and stole Marquette Basketball away from one of the superstations up here in Milwaukee. Hopefully with me being the live flagship game specialist here, it will mean that I get full-time and can ditch the evil coffee empire. IF not I also applied for a job at Fox Sports Radio Madison, another of the Good Karma owned stations. Either way I have hope. If neither comes through it may be time to grow up and get a real job or go back to school and get a master's degree. And the last ditch option is always considering more seriously the armed forces radio network. Who knows. Just pray I ccan get option a or b.
