Bullshit... the only weird thing is using polymer AR mags (which are never as reliable).

But I may be biased. Should send you a picture of my closet.

Psshhh, I've had no problems with them at all.

Not that putting 30 rounds through each means much...but it IS shitty ammo (Wolf steel case, 32c/rd, as opposed to 50c per round to get M193. Stupid chinese and stupid war) and they still feed fine.

Plus, they feel nice and solid and just flexible enough to not get buggered up if you drop 'em. You think the issue ones are better?

In order of preference... 20rd metal case with black follower, 30rd metal case with orange Magpul follower, 30rd metal case with green USGI follower... Magpul supposedly makes some new polymer mags of their own, but I can't say anything about them.

Personally, I've found that the Winchester white box stuff comes almost as cheap as Wolf if you buy in bulk and tends to have better reliability because it doesn't have that annoying polymer coating. Also, the Wolf "Gold" is good if you can find it, but is also somewhat more expensive... still, it's Wolf, so it's cheap in comparison to most stuff. Training ammo is training ammo, though, so long as it shoots reliably, I'd be happy.

I load Hornady TAP as my "go-to-war" ammo (both in my .223s and in my .308s), and I absolutely love it.

Hmm. Oh, they're Magpul PMags. Magpul products are pretty nifty.

The Wolf is definitely a matter of being the cheapest I could get, and since I'm on a budget, that won. It feeds in my AR just fine, so no complaints there. I'd LIKE to stock up on M193, I like its low-pen, high-fragmentation properties, for dealing with soft targets. Most of the live targets I'm like to be shooting at are not going to be wearing armor, so M193 seems a good choice. Alas, it's about 50c/round.

They should smile when they say that. *grin*
