I Haz Schooner!
I may not have mentioned this before, but partner has a tendency to be quite splendidly daft on occasion. You know I said he got me a pirate for Christmas? Well look what I got for New Year...
It's a vintage Playmobil "Victorian Schooner" complete with crew, guns, small arms and, erm, dog! :D I had to rig this thing myself on Hogmanay and I can tell you it wasn't easy after a couple of glasses of wine. Sir Edward would not have been impressed....
Obviously the schooner is much too small to be the Indy and, being an O'Brian fan, partner has suggested that we call her Sophie. However I think we should call her Emily after Loud Emily. And anyway, she looks like an Emily! Partner and daughter have already staged several naval engagements on the hearth rug and I am quietly wondering if I can re-enact my fanfic ;)
