Hopefully some of you will have picked this up from

The
Falls of Clyde is the world's only surviving iron-hulled four-masted full rigged ship and she is Clyde built to boot. She is berthed in Hawaii and has been nominated for Hampton Hotels'
All American Landmarks programme. The aim of this programme is to renovate one historic landmark in each American state. However Falls of Clyde has competition from two other Hawaiian attractions so I'd greatly appreciate it if you could go along to the competition website and vote for Falls of Clyde

Falls of Clyde is a unique and beautiful old ship that deserves to be preserved for future generations however I also have a personal interest in her survival as she is one of the last remaining Clyde built ships of this type. Her sister ship the
Glenlee, a smaller three masted barque, also survives and is preserved as a museum on the River Clyde in Glasgow. I used to be able to see the Glenlee's masts from my living room window and I still visit her regularly. Her shrouds and masts also appear in several of my icons. Glenlee's fate is now as secure as these things can be and it would be wonderful if her sister ship could also be granted the care and attention she deserves.
