Things I learned this weekend

According to the fabulously entertaining, if somewhat idiosyncratic, height chart that nodbear got daughter for Christmas, esmerelda_t meets the minimum height requirement for a Royal Marine. I had no idea they were so petite! She is also one cm shorter than Queen Victoria. Meanwhile I am as big as Red Rum (to the withers) and daughter is as big as a Chimpanzee,

that is impressive indeed = like the measurement of esmerelda_t especially

the chart came from Blackwells bookshop in Oxford and the sample had been used by the staff there to measure themselves.

It is the first and only chart I have seen which measures everyone from Babies to tall men and I was happy to have an excuse to buy one :)

Am also impressed by mylodons encounter with the legendary Red Rum : )

Oh yes, we've had lots of fun with the height chart! Some of the measurements seem a bit suspect though. I find it hard to believe that S. is only 1 cm shorter than the yeti! ;)
