Yesterday it was inlaws and family and there may have been rum cocktails involved somewhere along the line, and today it's trips to the zoo and sleepovers and if I'm still in one ( Read more... )

How many rum cocktails did toots consume?

Wish her Happy Birthday from me. March is a good month to be born in.

No rum cocktails for toots, but she did have a thimble of pink fizz which she wrinkled her nose at :}

March is a very good time to be born. She arrived in a terrible blizzard but it turned out to be a glorious spring that year.

Pass along my wishes for a perhaps belated Happy Birthday as well! As usual, your tree photography is excellent!

Zoo was fab! The animals were most obliging. Didn't manage to take many pics (too busy running around after three little monkeys) but I got one or two semi decent ones which I'll post later.

Eight. My goodness. You know I was thinking about her birthday being in March. I could not remember the day, but I remembered it was in lambing time. And after Archie.

Actually, I guess you guys are all done with lambing in your part of the world. But at home, March was just when it happened. Early spring seems to me a good time to be born!

(Both my kids were spring kids too.)

LAmbing is still happening here in some places - my cousin's daughter was married last weekend in Cornwall and her mother and father, who farm just a few miles from where Ned grew up in his grandmother's cottage, had to leave the reception early to get back to lambing.

Yes, they're both spring lambs :)

Down south perhaps, lambing will just be starting where I come from. I always associate March with the first spring lambs. January and February is still the depths of winter up north, too early for lambs to be born.
