To be fair, the Corvette was the wrong car for those comparisons.

Finally, a good writing day yesterday. Lots of it was in the barrow story, which is a story for next month not this one, but hey, I'll take it. And some of it was in response to your promptage. Sort of. In the sense that ideas were sparked in my head when I read the prompts. Thus I fear Wednesday's ficspam may well not be recognizable as prompt ( Read more... )

Go-cart is what we'd call it and I've never heard of it being called anything else, though there may be local slang names around the country I don't know.

Thank you! I can have Giles discuss go-carts with confidence. Vroom.

Thanks for the video. Pretty cool. :) Reminds me of the night a couple guys pulled into the street races with an alky burning mini bike. Yes, a Briggs & Stratton engined mini bike all tricked out with wheelie bars and all. They offered to race any guy on any bike 100 feet for $500. Of course a bunch of guys pooled together, putting the fastest guy on the biggest bike. They lost.

Over-engined + under-sized wins every time. Especially on a short course like 100 feet. Sucker bet. The Corvette loses on the autocross course because it can't corner for beans, and the cart's like, hey! I have no mass and mega traction! whee!

I told Mr P I want a session on shifter carts for my birthday. There are a couple places around here with tracks + rentals.

I don't even remember what the prompt was. But seeing as how I've pretty much given up on writing the last prompt you gave me between RL and other fic commitments, I wouldn't sweat it.

Still, if you can get 700 words of outline, sounds like it is inspiring you.

It was definitely inspirational, thank you for that! But too much for me to handle at the moment.
