Scents I've been wearing recently

Periodically I dig through my bag and pull out all the BPAL bottles I have stashed away inside it. One evening I found six, including the bottle of Smut I'd been missing for weeks. Today's haul, ranged behind the keyboard on my office desk:

Western Diamondback: Snake Oil with leather, tonka bean, red sandalwood, and sage.
A nearly-empty bottle, because I used most of it making a dry oil spray for Mr Pedia, on whom it smells delicious. Warm and spicy vanilla, smooth, with dusty leather and the sage lending it a bit of interest on top. Mellow and laid back: this cowboy is dozing in the sun. It’s boy-ish but not so masculine a woman couldn’t wear it. Choose it on the day you choose your boots to wear. Still available.

Boomslang: Snake Oil with cocoa, teakwood, and rice milk.
One of BPAL's all-time great scents. Milky chocolate over a warm spicy base. Maybe a glass of chocolate chai? Dusty dusky chocolate. Not too sweet, more rich & warm. Guh! I bought, er, two backup bottles, because I've been giving decants of this one away. Still available.

Minotaur: The Bull of Minos, guardian of the Labyrinth in Knossos. A deep, swarthy black musk dusted by a dark, resinous blend of sacred bisabol myrrh, atramentous benzoin, tsori, balsam, and galbanum.
Dark, soft, rich, deep, a little sweet-spicy, thick like a velvet throw under your hand. Dark brown velvet, almost black. Of the earth without being a dirt scent, chthonic in the mythic sense. I've been wearing this while writing recently. Cough. One of the Lunacy scents; I bought two bottles based on just the ingredients list, and darn, that was the right choice.

Coyote: The Native American Creator / Trickster God of Chaos and Change. The warmth of doeskin, dry plains grasses and soft, dusty woods warmed by amber and a downy, gentle coat of deep musk.
What I'm wearing today, because it felt appropriate for the hot California summer. Brown hills, dead grass rustling, soft leather, the sweet dusty scent of amber over the top. One of my personal faves. In the general collection, so always available.
