Here I was, sitting around and waiting for/reading the new updates from everyone with the new school year upon us... only to realize that I have not posted anything myself. hehe, oops. I'll write about my classes once I've gone through them all. I've not quite gotten the feel for them yet anyway, since I've not had any class more than once yet. Tomorrow night I have Lit & Motion Pictures, then I'll have gone through them all.
But in general, Japanese looks as intimidating as ever. I surprised myself by how much I understood when sensei was talking to me and asking questions. Prolly because I'm used to listening to Japanese via the J-dramas. However I've forgotten a lot of the written Japanese so I'll study much tomorrow.
In other news, I'm almost completely unpacked. There was a lot of unpacking to do. I've found a lot of the stuff I've brought is old paperwork that I cannot get rid of but do not need here at school. And there's a lot of extra kitchenware that I brought because I didn't know what all my roommate was bringing. Oh wellz. All hundred or so of my pictures/posters are up, decorating the walls and looking quite lovely, if I do say so myself. I am proud of my decorating work. Plus, I arranged the living room very nicely, with a rug & bookshelf & plant. It has a very homey and welcoming feel to it.
My apartment-mates and I are always cooking, which I find to be wonderful. The apt currently smells of cookies and very faintly of buttered popcorn. =) I've been making lots of sandwiches & eating my cereal. I made mac 'n cheese, garlic bread, french toast, & egg-in-a-basket(s). Sometime this week I plan to make my orange spaghetti. Nom nom! Oh, and I've made sun tea, while it's been sunny outside. Right now there is a steady rainfall and it will rain most of tomorrow, but that's ok by me. Keeps the grass green. So long as I can make my sun tea in a day or two.
By the by, I've been watching out the window by the dining table (which leads to the back of the apt & out to the woods) for the past two days to spy on the visitor outside - a groundhog! He's so cute! My apartment-mate Lily said she saw a bigger one a few days ago. We've decided to name the smaller one which I've been watching, Norma... or maybe I'll just call him/her/it Nora instead. The bigger one shall be Norman. XD Nora/Norma, whether male or female, is so cute! Nora walks around, chomping on the grass and looking up every few minutes to freeze and search for danger. Her cheeks are big and chubby-fluffy. She has big, dark eyes and a cute black nose. I shall enjoy keeping a watch for her.
Alrighty then. I'm going to try to get some homework done. I don't want to fall behind already. TTFN
