I'm back!
For those of you who I have not yet seen or heard from, I just wanted to let you know that I'm still alive and back home once more. I returned to the U.S. on May 5th and arrived back in Munster around 8pm the following day.
It is so nice to be home!
It's strange but I don't really miss Costa Rica that much. Sure it was warmer and I had my own room and went on cool adventures all over the place, but I really missed my friends and family. It's nice to have good food back too. Not that Costa Rican food tastes bad, but I'm just sick to death of white rice and black beans all the freaking time.
Anyhoo, right now I'm just lazying around the house. I finished a book by Robin D. Owens that I'd meant to get to for a while (it was ok. nothing spectacular). Then I got online to look up recipies - particularly a strawberry muffin recipe. I still haven't really gotten around to cooking a lot since coming back. I made everyone sandwiches with really good whole wheat bread from the Wealthy Street Bakery and I made myself an egg & cheese sandwhich for breakfast the other day. Oh, and I helped make some of the food for yesterday.
We had an awesome Mother's Day party here yesterday. I got to see almost all my family. Everyone but a couple cousins who were working & family that lives far away and we never see anyhow. My uncle made awesome pies! <3 We had skirt steak & bratwurst & chicken & hot dogs wrapped in bacon. Yeah. I didn't get around to trying the last one. But everyone who had it said it tasted good. *shrug*
Meh, I guess that's enough drabble for now. I know Panda's back but I don't know if Kari & Nat are. If anyone is bored, feel free to give me a call on my cell or text me. I'll try to remember to keep it on me. XD I'm not used to having it anymore. Though tomorrow I'll be busy during the day because I'm going to paint at my grandma's house. =) Fun fun!
P.S. I got gifts for everyone, but they are in the mail and will not arrive here for about a month - month in a half. I'll let you all know when they come in. =D
