[the video comes to life, revealing one Spanner, in the station and absolutely covered in grease smudges. because, well, he was in the middle of fiddling with a mosca when the beacon showed up and didn't bother with washing up before grabbing it.
so, Spanner, dirty and still wearing his goggles -- those, at least, he pushes up before giving an almost amused smile. death by virus or no, this place just reeks of technological things to play with.
really, this is his excited face. it just looks more like 'vaguely entertained'.]
