.UPDATE #013
NEXUS► An emergency speech recognition system has been added. You can now program your Nexus to respond to voice commands under emergency circumstances. Options include sending out a distress call or, as appropriate, broadcasting on the local Sphere network.
► Filtering systems have been enhanced to allow local channels to be set up (and password protected, if appropriate) for group voice of video calling. These channels can also set with a 'press to speak' option in the style of two-way radios to allow easier maintained contact when travelling.
► An error which caused the weather read out to round up humidity has been fixed.
VERSION NOTES: Please report any bugs you find. If you wish to develop or install addons of your own to Dailystream or develop your own application for the Nexus device please follow these instructions: [ ATTACHMENT: PERRYSCRIPTADDONS.VPF ]
SYSTEM Following the Hakkarin attack Sphere has suffered considerable damage, and that includes our Beacon network. The extent of the damage is still being explored, but we recommend not taking any risks and only using Beacons to travel as a last resort.
FORECAST The weather is getting colder, but clearer. Lows of -4°C during the day with sunny spells, low visibility late into the afternoons and overnight as a light mist falls followed by heavy fog. Light snow returns later in the week.
MISC ► In the wake of the Hakkarin attack we are pleased to welcome back Carolina Scott, our Systems Administrator.
► Due to the extensive damage caused by the Hakkarin attack all efforts are currently focused on making Sphere water tight and safe once more. We are currently working on surveying which areas are worst affected so we can focus repairs for efficiency.
► Dylan's
Basic Repairs course has obviously been delayed by the attack, however he hopes to do a few sessions later in the week to help train up those who wish to help with repairs. Therefore, sign ups are still open.
► Power is slowly being restored to safe areas of Sphere which were cut off to power the shield. Please take care in areas that are still unlit.
► Palliative care for most first stage symptoms is still available from the infirmary. Please use these sparingly and with care.
► Please direct all concerns to the appropriate party!
