Monday rolls around and, unsurprisingly there's no little formally worded updated in your inbox. Everyone is too busy for that. It's been a week now, the ship drawing ever closer on the long range sensor display. Scientists and other volunteers have been shutting down all unnecessary systems. Sphere is mostly plunged into darkness, the simulation rooms stand blank. The clock is ticking.

A few people have gathered once more in the Central Station to watch the Hakkarin ship make its way slowly down out of its orbit. Dylan is stood frozen like a statue, staring wide-eyed at the display as it comes to a stop. His datapad gives a beep and he jumps, then looks down and reads quickly -- glancing between it and Robert a short way off.

"They're... scanning us?"

Robert nods imperceptibly. Making sure they got the right place, he supposes. Hesitation, then the younger scientist moves across to where Dr. Ingram stands and looks nervously upwards -- as if he can see the vessel above them somehow through the building. They're stood together a moment, one nervously glancing between his datapad and the ceiling and the other impassively with his arms folded. Then, another beep -- and Dylan startles.

"They, ah, I -- I don't speak Hakkarin..."

Sphere, lik sha getta ver-ta.

Yukta 10 shima-ma.

Kittra.

Niskra.

"And why isn't it in the translation software?"

"I -- I didn't think --"

"Kae taught me." He pauses a moment, taking the datapad smoothly and glancing over it. His expression barely changes. "We have ten hours to surrender. Take some people, get a shield up." He holds the datapad back out expectantly a moment. "... Now, if you please."

"-- Yes Robe-- Doctor Ingram." Dylan grabs it back quickly and tries to pull himself together, hugging it to himself. Focus. This is no time to panic. Then he stows his datapad, pulls out his Nexus device and begins to type.

Your Nexus device beeps: __ The Hakkarin have given us ten hours to surrender.

All unnecessary systems must be shut down, all unused areas locked off to keep them out as long as possible. Please stay together. If you attempt to hide by yourself, you risk being shut in. The infirmary is being used as a gathering point for anyone unable to fight.

[ ooc: It's up to you if you were there to witness this exchange or not. This post is open if you want to be there, or want to run in after the Nexus update, or whatever! Ten hours from now = tomorrow, update-wise. ]
