(no subject)
It has been a while.
I wish I could claim my life was so exciting that I don't have time to post around here, but no, rather the opposite in fact. Apart from work (sometimes annoying but generally ok), watching too much Bollywood (Dilip Kumar, yay) and spending time reading Torchwood-fanfic, not much has happened.
MIxing Torchwood with Bollywood does strange things to your brain. One is that I completly fail to see John Barrowman's alleged overacting and that the rough interogation methods don't bother me any longer. And I still feel Torchwood could be improved by more singing and less sex, as well as the occassional coconut being cracked, preferably on the heads of some of the more irritating team-members.
I still enjoy belly-dancing but I haven't been for a week, as I have been off work with the departemental cold for the last three days. I was already not feeling too great over the weekend, but I made it to knitting, which was fun, and I got to see the Soweto Gospel Choir on Saturday evening which I enjoyed a lot. I also noticed that the pink and green, yellow and purple colour combination is common in other parts of the world than just the Indian subcontinent. Since then I have spend my days either in bed or on the couch, never far from my trusty box of tissues, and not doing much. It had the advantage that I was in for my new Dvd-delivery. More black and white goodness and some colour, too. I have made a bit of a dent in the mountain of unwatched Dvds . And I had pizza twice, which was a nice treat. However, as I am starting to have fun at home, that is probably a sign that it is time to go back to work tomorrow. No belly-dancing though, as I am still coughing like nobodies business at the slightest provocation.
Oh, and I get to stay in my flat for another year, which is good, but I have to pay stupid amount of money for them to give me a new contract (estate agents=moderne Raubritter), and the rent has gone up a bit, but nothing drastic. Anyway, I can hardly believe I have been here almost a year already. I still need to get a coffee table. Well, I had one in between but it collapsed in a rather dramatic fashion, so I need to get another one.
