I had a really nice weekend. On Saturday I went to knitting and naughtly started another cardigan as my two other projects had gotten too unwieldy to be carried about. After knitting I pottered about town for a bit and then went to see J and the little one. We went and explored Asian shops around the Cowley Road, while the little one demanded to be taken to Olivia, one of his friends who they were going to meet later in the afternoon. I was back home by late afternoon and had a nap before watching some more Bollywood. However, a headache appeared and I didn't manage to finish Bluffmaster but went to bed early in the hope that it would disappear overnight. It didn't but with the help of painkillers and staying in bed as long as possible I managed to get rid of it before going to Southall.
It was nice to meet N again and exploring shops is much more fun when there are two of you, and for me its solves the food problem as I don't like going to restaurants on my own and tend to end up eating not enought or too much snack food when I am on my own. I was quite restrained in my purchases, but I did get some sweets, a Dvd for Anni and some eye make-up. I liked Salaam-e-Ishq very much, however, I ended up in tears for most of the second half as some story-lines where somewhat too close to home. It was on the long side, but I didn't really mind and I saw Oxford! I made it home with enough time to spare to finish watching Bluffmaster and go to bed after sampling some of the sweets.
This morning I had the usual difficulties to convince myself that I wanted to get up on a Monday morning. Somehow I always feel especially blah on a Monday if I have had a nice weekend; sort of like a hangover, only without alcohol. I am also becoming more and more nervous about the interview on Thursday but I am trying to ignore it till Wednesday, otherwise I will just spend the next two days curled up in a corner, wimpering.
Work is ok, lots of strange books with problems this morning, but the next lot seem to be fairly straightforward. We had a fire-alarm drill, which always seems a bit of a waste of time, but I suppose it is important.
