Antar: Ship's Landing

Aug 08, 2005 20:24

OOC: There will be a separate post for the scouting party, but they get a chance to have reactions here, too. And um. Thingy. 'nuff with the OOC.And the Heart of Gold touches down, landing rather gracefully (Trillian practiced) in a patch of grass way out in the middle of nothing. If Antar had radar - they don’t - it wouldn’t pick them up here. ( Read more... )

*Meg takes deep, steady breaths as she stares around the alien planet - her very first.*

It doesn't look that different, *she comments, a trifle disappointed.*

A very turquoise Max steps up next to Meg and smiles at her, enjoying the breaths of fresh air -- his air, home -- and gestures up at the sky.

Which is a strange shade of purple.

"How about that?"

"It's nothing like Earth, at any rate," agrees Trillian, "though I've definitely seen purple before."

She coughs, readjusting to the atmosphere slowly. Out of practice at changing environment.

Asmodean stepped out behind them, glancing around at the environment. A lovely shade of blue himself, he is as immaculately dressed as ever. He shuddered ever so slightly at the sky. It reminded him of Shayol Ghul in some ways.

"...I will have to adjust the tuning on my harp... How irritating."

"Right... because that's what's important," Ford mumbles under his breath, stepping out after Natael.

Another landing, another planet. Ford's beyond being impressed at such things. Much more dangerous things to be concerned with... the most dangerous of which is probably standing in front of him.

Michael is standing a little way off, just taking the place in as Max did.

Max smiles at his best friend, his general, the closest thing he has to a brother

(Rath)

Michael, and stands next to him.

"... I didn't expect it to feel so good. But it does, it's -- it feels right."

They're home.

Michael smiles back, almost dazed by the feeling.

"I... nowhere's ever felt this right. Earth and Milliways only did 'cause Maria was there."

Max looks around for Isabel nervously.

"... I'm a little worried about Izzy's reaction, because of Warren ... but you didn't want to be here either, really, and I'm not sure how much of me did.

But I wouldn't trade it for anything."

Michael looks sideways at him, seriously.

"We're gonna have to come and go, you know. Or I am. I can't keep Maria away from Earth forever, and if she doesn't want to move here at all..."

"I know."

Liz won't want to move either.

"I planned on doing the same thing. Milliways is like a second home to us all."

Michael nods. "I hope she'll come here at least once, though. I want her to see this place."

"The air is clear, and the grass is tall, and the sky is ... okay, not blue, but definitely shining bright under the --"

Max looks up.

"-- suns. Maria'll love it."

Michael smiles, and it may be the most content anyone's seen him since this thing started.

"I think so."

"And she's family, now."

Max is practically beaming.

"We belong here, and because we do, so does Maria."

He's not thinking about Liz.

Michael's smile broadens, and he nods.

"She does."
