As the nuclear disaster in Fukushima continues to provide a global scale dose of daily perspective for anyone paying attention, and anyone making the effort to filter out the glass brittle happy talk provided us by an endless army of government dick steppers and corporate media bots, the last big atomic cluster fuck, comfortably 80's distant Chernobyl, keeps getting trotted out as the summit of shit that the Japan's current distracting mole hill just will not reach, at least not yet, assuming nothing goes wrong, well at least any more wrong than it already has, which of course could never happen. A few years back, to mark the 20th anniversary of Chernobyl a documentary of that disaster was broadcast on the Discovery Channel, The Battle of Chernobyl. The uncensored version, all 93 riveting, grim fucking minutes of it can be found below. A direct link to a higher resolution presentation is

Watching this was 93 minutes of my life well spent, maybe you will feel the same too.
