absolutely NOT, not even in 100 years is possible for Sawyer to get over his Freckles, the love of his life ♥^_^
Tonight is a Lost night after two weeks and the first episode after the SKate reunion. I'm excited. I decided to give a look at Sawyer/Kate, in my own way (photoshopping), with an eye on what Kate did for him in those three months that have been more important than three years, and noticing how many separations/reunions they had to face.
Are these two boys the same person?
Yeah, but it has been a long ride, and the development of James for sure didn't end with him sniffing a damn daisy. There's more to come.
The long-awaited Sawyer-centric episode was really amazing. I enjoyed it very much.
James shone in every possible way. He pwnd even Richard Alpert! *__*
"James, look at yourself. Yes, on this island you're brave, handsome, daring. You're someone."
and Ben was RIGHT about this line.
What was the event that started to change Sawyer?
He wanted people to hate him as he loathed him. He thought to be a bad person, that never did a good thing in his life and that didn't deserve anything good.
He got tortured to have this kiss from Kate. This kiss did something to him. They both felt something.
Like in the Frog Prince, with a kiss, the Sawyer facade fell and the handsome James started to come out.
Kate read his letter over and over to figure out he wrote the letter and not received it. He told her his tragedy: he became the man he was hunting and that ruined his life when he was a child, he became Sawyer. But he's not like Sawyer at all, in the inside. And Kate wanted to pull out the human in him.
One outcast to another, Kate got him to come at the golf camp, and she took that action, to make him feel part of the group.
Just like she said in Confidence Man, she likes to watch him for hours. In this case she watches him following the tracks of humans, birds, a rock slide, himself, basically everything except boar =) because even if she said otherwise, she cares about him not being lost or worse. And she knows he wears cologne ;)
Kate likes to watch Sawyer sleeping, as we've seen two times (in season 3 the other one). She was worried about his nightmare in Outlaws.
They have a connection, like he said in the Pilot. He just knew she was the prisoner, he didn't have to be told about it, he knew. With the game of I never they played first, then they become serious and deep. She wanted to pass time with the only other person on the island that didn't belong.
She was worried about his headaches, so she brings him to Jack and she likes him with glasses.
This is the FIRST SEPARATION. After a fight, with a lot of angst. He wanted a reason to stay, she wanted him to stay but didn't say anything, not even goodbye. They're so stubborn.
They both looked for the other, not finding the face they were looking for :'(
Kate was missing Sawyer and told Sun she didn't say goodbye, and Sun knew she was talking about him.
In season 3 Sawyer missed Kate badly when she was in the rescue mission.
Both of them were portrayed to be missing the other one.
FIRST REUNION: Kate gave a pill to Sawyer, whispering to his ear and kissing his forehead. She didn't want to lose him. She told him he was home.
Kate confessed that she felt something for him and was the happiest girl in the planet when he was fine. He looked like Sleeping Beauty.
She told him he needed a haircut, while keeping contact hand in hand.
Sawyer saw her horse, just like Kate saw his boar in "Outlaws".
Kate gave him a perfect haircut and told him he didn't have to be belligerent because everyone loved him.
She cares about him getting his bandages changed, while claiming not being his nurse. Oh Kate =) try better at not looking at his lips xD
She helped him with his exercizes just to be around him :)
She read him some magazine, "ten ways to tell if he's a sensitive man" XD her smile says it all ;)
that was before Sawyer screwed everything with his gun con, because tigers don't change their stripes: she runs, he cons.
SECOND REUNION, at the cages: Sawyer managed to lift her mood up and make her smile.
Kate knew his name is James. The cuteness in the simple "you taste like strawberries - you taste like fishbiscuit" in relation to their second yummy kiss, aww.
I LOVE HIM
Kate DIDN'T RUN, for the first time in her life. She got back in her cage, her bigger fear, for him.
Kate tried everything she could to save James's life.
He gave her hope and she gave him her love. They were free in his cage.
She confirmed she loved him with kisses. He was the happier I've ever seen him.

He was sacrificing his life for her, she said she would have done everything to stop what was happening.
She run to him while he was about to take a bullet. She tried to protect him with her hands. He put his hand over hers and his heart ♥
She wanted to clear all the misunderstanding between them and give them a clean slate.
Missed longing looks ♥
THIRD REUNION: a hug that swept her off her feet, with everything around disappearing.
He understood her old habits and for his cuteness deserved a happy cute kiss.
FOURTH SEPARATION: she tried to get what happened to James, but he closed his walls up and didn't tell her about killing Cooper and the dark place he went.
He didn't want her back at the beach, trying to protect her.
FIFTH SEPARATION: the groups split, James went with Locke and left Kate upset.
FIFTH REUNION: James asked Kate why they didn't find out for how long they could play house.
They tried, for a night. Look at the happiness. He unbanished her and told her he would keep her safe. She stayed in his arms all night and wake him up with kisses.
In the future, she destroyed her engagement with Jack because of a promise she made to James. "I was doing something FOR HIM, FOR SAWYER". She didn't tell Jack about it "because he wouldn't want me to".
SIXTH REUNION: he gave her Aaron after kissing his forehead.
The fight was forgotten and forgiven, they were flirting over dead bodies. Only these two could do this ♥
He changed his mind and was leaving with her on the chopper. She was aware of this and she had a smile stretched from ear to ear. And she couldn't leave his hand.
They were leaving TOGETHER ;_;
Kate and James had a minute of happiness together.
Then the chopper was losing fuel, so James decided to jump for saving Kate and his friends. He spectacularly kissed her, a kiss that stopped time, whispered into her ear and left her. That was the SEVENTH SEPARATION between them.
Due to time travelling, James saw Kate helping Claire delivering Aaron. He was close enough to touch her ;_;
Now, after three years, he's claiming he forgot her face. He's living in a lie. He has found stability, a reputation and love, with Juliet. I mean, it was right the Left Behinders bonded and were safe, and that he wasn't alone, he found Juliet as a friend that has his back, that he loves and she loves him back. But he deserves to be happy with the love of his life in his present time, not in a con he's putting also on himself. His life is artificial and his fire is not burning. And he never gave up the hope to find Locke&O6 back, he was looking for them "as long as it takes".
"I had a thing for a girl once. And I had a shot at her, but I didn't take it. For a little while, I'd lay in bed every night, wondering if it was a mistake. Wondering if... I'd ever stop thinking about her. And now I can barely even remember what she looks like. I mean, her face--it's... she's just gone. And she ain't never coming back. So... is three years long enough to get over someone? Absolutely."
and the next day the Island brought Kate back ( SEVENTH REUNION )
he's definitely NOT over her and remembers every freckle.
this scene was beautifully filmed and reminded people of a lot of epic movies like LOTR, the moment Aragorn saw Arwen (thanks to Eppur si muove @ FBL for pointing this out!)
And now? I want to see every step of them from now to the end ♥
they were separated unwillingly, and now they're reunited against time
they're meant to be like this one day:
