and just finished the rank marker/microphone/whatever the fuck it is on their shoulders for my outfit. Once all the stitching is done on the suit, I'll then be able to wash it a couple times, then apply the gear as a final step. The only downside is that after that, it'll have to be dry-clean only (sheet metal, leather, and plastic tubing don't do well in the wash). Oh well.
I'm surprised I only cut myself once tonite, and it didn't need a band-aid. Especially since it was an X-acto knife slipping.
I guess it's because I ran out of blades and so kept using one despite it being dull. If it was a new blade, I'd probably still be oozing blood.
Have to make my second bracer, too.
That won't be too hard, as I ironed out most of the kinks making the first. Just have to put some holes in it and lace it up. It should use snaps or buttons, but laces will give it some leeway in terms of circumference, which is a plus when they're worn over sleeves.
Don't have a Pip-Boy, but oh well. it wouldn't fit under the Tunnel Snakes jacket anyhow.
