Perdido Entry

Hi, I've posted this stuff elsewhere I believe, but I've now collected a swarm of it together in one, easy-to-view post. So I'm posting it here. Nyah =P

So, being the narcissitic creature that I am, I feel the need to post the swarm of what passes as my creativity on here. One poem and several sketches.

The poem, entitled Devil. Angel. Murderer. Mistress.

He’s seen as a devil
She’s likened to an angel
Secrets abound
Both have loved, lost, and loved again
Reluctant to allow their souls to die
Devil. Angel. Murderer. Mistress.

What a pair they make
Outside, a demon and a cherub
Inside, a murderer and a mistress
Two twisted souls, twining together
Yearning, seeking, finding, trusting
Devil. Angel. Murderer. Mistress.

His pride is fierce, as is his temper
Pushed beyond limits, driven to sin
Embroiled in evil, not of his making
He truly an angel
A self-made man, tortured by his creator
Devil. Angel. Murderer. Mistress.

Her halo shed
To a man she could never have
Foolishly giving, that which cannot be gotten back
She truly a demon
Wings soiled, leathered, blackened, broken
Devil. Angel. Murderer. Mistress.

They seek each other, seek sanctuary
From the thoughts screaming in their minds
A cacophony of doubt and loathing
The words - weapons to maim the soul
Spinning, twisting, howling, jeering
Devil! Angel! Murderer! Mistress!

Platform

Some random girl I drew while busing into college this summer. Colored and uncolored versions.

A boy's profile from the same trip

Arrr a pirate! Colored and uncolored, and the costume (on me) it was based off of, but with cooler weaponry

a frustrated doodle

mermaids! because as seen from the picture above, drawing legs is no fun. Colored and uncolored.

And because I'm a geek, and my boyfriend got me into it, and I get XP for it, here's two sketches of Talya, my sorceress in the D&D game I'm in. Yes, I roll my eyes at me too.

And finally, a map of the US I drew Dan to explain distances. Minneapolis to Chicago is, on average, a 7 hour drive. I've made it home in 5.5.
