Aelita by Kawaiiturtlehead
The thing that caught my eye in the preview was the face and unusual pose. It's something unique, seeing as most KiSS sets are done in the standard facing the screen, body completely towards the viewer pose. I opened the set, and noticed the beautiful soft shading. I really enjoy the way it's done, along with the colors, they're soft, but also stand out enough.
As pretty as this doll is, and skillfully done, it feels incomplete to me. It could use some more clothes (it feels empty), and maybe a background. A background, to me, would make it feel more stable. Right now she just looks as if she's standing on air.

I like that you can change her pose, it adds an interesting feature. Her face and style in general is very cute, a little choppy/sloppy, but cute nontheless. I'm kind of dissapointed that the background is just flower clipart, and the menu seems a bit slapped together (it could be neater and more eye-catching), but it's still a very cute doll.

I usually enjoy Lilith's dolls. They're pretty original, with tons of clothes to mix-and-match with, but this was a bit of a let down. The clothes arn't as varied, there isn't that much to do, and it seems quite simple. You get some clothes (thoug Halloween themed, and that is pretty cute), and that's all. But what few designs are in it, I find very pretty. I also like her style, in general. She's one of my favorite KiSS artists simply because her style and way of doing things stands out so much to me.

An interesting design and idea. I enjoy the animations and little details throughout the set. The mirrored effect on the water is a very nice touch. I also like the icey, cold, wet feel of the set, in general. Even though I enjoyed this set on some level, I found more faults than good things. Keep in mind this is not to discourage, in fact, to encourage. But, some things were glaring. I almost did not download the doll simply because of the preview. I'm glad I did, though.
The art itself seems a bit sloppy...which can be improved over time, of course. The animation seems rushed, too few cels, too little detail. The rain doesn't look falling, but rather dissapearing and reappearing. The gradient effect mixed with normal pixel art seems like a bad idea...it doesn't fit, especially since the pixel art is of a lower skill level. Also, the clothes are very few. What few there are, are creative, but still are very few.
Like I said, I still like this set, but I think the artist should try harder next time.

What an intresting design! The set itself, with the base in the center, and the BG design, is very lovely and proffesional looking. I also really like the face of the darling base doll. She looks like a cuter version of a Blythe.
The items are all colorful and cute, while still keeping the feeling of a wintery/fallish theme. The clothes go really well with the very earthy looking base doll.
Only complaint I can think of, is the clothing feels kind of cookie cutter in some areas. But it's easy to look over, because most cels have been varied generously. Over all it's a very cute, complete feeling set.

It's a very interesting idea, to say the least. The layout is well-done, the pixel art very nice, and the coding very good. I like that you can move the planes, make them actually fly or just have them move about by controls. You can also ram tanks into little pixelated brick walls, which I enjoyed a little too much. The animations are very nice, too.
I can't stand the sound effects, though. They seem to stick out too much. And the constant pop ups are a bit annoying, especially since some are in one laungage, and some are in another. It's a bit confusing. But I still liked this set a lot. It was fun to play with and obviously had a lot of thought put into it.

Vivi Orunitia by Kim McFarland
Kim's pixel art is very clean, very proffesional looking to me. It always has been, but especially lately. Vivi is a very well-drawn doll, I must say. I like the feature to make his face visible or not. I also really like the moogle/mog menu. His head turning and asking you what you want reminds me of the FF9 game. I liked undressing him in each set to see what was hidden under his clothes with the shadow effect taken off. It was interesting. But my absolute favorite feature is the costume for the original Black Mage from Final Fantasy (for NES). The thick pixel lines are genius, I must say.
