so it all started with that jroddy dilemma on friday. moving past crying and yelling, because everything WILL be fine, it was the PERFECT NIGHT.
shall we begin with matt and i sitting on his back porch for the amount of time it takes to smoke 12 cigarettes in rapid succession? Thus, starved, and buzzed [one of us a little more than the other], we watched conor oberst be an idiot in an mtv interview [hilarious] and i successfully got matt into bright eyes. yup, i did the unthinkable.
so we went to my house, and decided YOU KNOW WHAT WOULD BE DELCIOUSOO? Red Robin burgers. So we got directions to the closest one [Germantown] and made mix cds for the drive/for matt. My parents suggested seeing Superbad. We agreed it would be good.
So we pulled into the Red Robin and RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET is a supersize movie theater! Quickly 411-ing it, we discover Superbad is playing only 45 perfect minutes from when we arrive! So we get HUGE, DELCIOUS, BEST-BURGER-IVE-EVER-HAD burgers, and milkshakes, and bottomless drinks. Suddenly, we look up. Who had just walked through the door but BRIAN ARTUSIO?! He too had opted out of jroddy and ended up in germantown! What are the odds? Matt also covered two of the polaroids in strawberry milkshake, hilariously and accidentally. Paul hated us.
Next we saw superbad, and confirmed i could stay at matt's that night. Superbad was very entertaining and hilarious, and i would definitely see it again. Awesome. We drove home to Bright Eyes, and eventually slept on the couch, and in a comfy bed. In the morning we had chocolate covered cherries for breakfast and laid around till 1, when we got panera and enjoyed yesterday, which was the most gorgeous day i've seen in years.
i took my car into the mountains while matt worked, and drove for miles and miles, enjoying the weather. Perfect, perfect. It made me feel like i was really little again, and in the best possible way.
I pumped my own gas for the first time EVER yesterday!! And i saw Hairspray! last night, and i have to say the nerdy musical theater girl in me had a blast. And the regular me did too.
