Day 1

[Bazett counts herself lucky that with all the chaos of helping out new arrivals, recovering from hallucinations, figuring out how to use human technology, and dealing with getting her left arm lopped off in the post office in return for lead balls that she could not use, she had almost forgotten about looking for the girl that she had brought home. As a result, she had been down in the basement, searching for possible clues at to the girl's identity.]

[That's when it hit. She's not sure what it was, but whatever it was, it had shaken up the floor over her head.]

[Naturally, she had waited for it to stop shaking to poke her head out of the basement to try to see what was going on.]

[She was greeted with a scene right out of what humans would call hell.]

[The house she currently lived in was gone--everything had been reduced to rubble. The air was filled with smog. To make things stranger, her left arm appeared as quickly as it had initially disappeared back in the post office. Clenching the fingers, she finds that all the nerves seem to be in place, as if it was never cut off in the first place.]

[Lancer had warned her of the insanity in this town, but she had never expected to see something like this. She thinks back and tries to figure out of it this is another hallucination, but she cannot remember eating or contacting anything strange in the last 48 hours. Therefore, this is all too real. Unlike other people, who would have panicked in a situation like this, she instantly reverts to her work persona--that of the calm, rational enforcer.]

[Her first action is to check the ruins for anything salvageable. Holding her hand in front of her mouth, she rushes up the stairs to check in the rooms. There, she finds that the drones are dead, their flesh stripped from their bones. It is a horrible sight, but no worse than other things she had witnessed during her career. Without a second's worth of hesitation, she starts flipping through the half-broken drawers. It irks her that she cannot find Fragarach, especially when she had given her arm up for it. It seems whatever being in charge of this equivalent exchange process had seen fit to take it away and return her arm. She takes the one suit belonging to her drone husband that has been left over and the two remaining flower print dresses. In situations like this, she could not afford to be picky.]

[There are two uncrushed, unbroken boxes of cereal lying in the rubble that had been the kitchen. The refrigerator has been tipped over and the doors have been torn off, but several of the bags of vegetables inside seem still edible. After the fiasco with the mushrooms, she is wary of Mayfield food, but like the clothes, she would take what she could find. Besides, if this was resolved fast enough, she doubts that she would even need to eat the food that she is now carrying.]

[All this has been bundled up in blanket she has recovered from one of the drone children's rooms. Unlike the other blankets, it is only half burned. She ties the singed corners together and then heads out onto the cracked streets. She needs to check to see if any of her allies were still alive, and if they were, to draw up a plan to deal with this situation. At worst, she would be left alone, in which case she would need to primarily focus on her own survival. However, given that there were always wrecked houses to raid, finding a minimum of useable supplies should not be a problem.]

[She is irritated that she is still powerless. As a human, she is vulnerable to whatever dangers lurking in the ruins. She also has no way of sensing whether or not this is the work of some sort of magecraft or figuring out who caused this. She hopes that she will not be an inconvenience to her surviving allies, if there are even any.]

[Her rational side is prepared to accept the worst, but her emotional side was not. She is worried--not for herself, but for Lancer and for the mysterious girl that she still did not know the true identity of.]

[She wants to see Lancer, to make sure that he is alright. Already, she was afraid that she might find him dead like the drones inside the remains of her house. She tries to reassure herself that he is a hero and even what, to a human, would be a fatal wound would not kill him. However, this is not just a stab to the heart--it is utter annihilation. As such, she cannot help but wonder if even he could survive this. She cannot even think of how she would react if she found him dead; the only thing she can do is hope that he is alive.]

[As for the girl, Bazett is not sure what she actually looks like, as both of them had been hallucinating during their last encounter. However, she thinks that she will be able to recognize the girl, through manner if not appearance, if they ever met. The girl is the first person she has helped unconditionally, and even now, she feels a strange connection to her. Perhaps it is because of the sad, empty look in the girl's eyes...]

[So as she walks down the streets covered in rubble, she keeps her eye out for a certain blue haired Heroic Spirit and a lost, lonely girl. She is checking for her other allies--Tohsaka, Archer, Tohsaka's sister, etc., but those two are the ones she is searching the hardest for.]

Day 2

[it seems that no matter how bad situations are, they can always get worse. There are sentient, gun-wielding cannibals running around the ruined town, shooting people down and then consuming their bodies.]

[As an Enforcer, Bazett has seen weirder, and she has certainly seen worse. However, back then, she still had her Magic Circuits.]

[Some of the survivors had managed to subdue a couple of the cannibals and take their guns. However, this option would not work for her because she had no experience with guns. At best, she would avoid shooting her own face off.]

[So now she's armed herself with several half broken kitchen knives. At worst, she could always throw them like she did with her Noble Phantasms.]

[But no matter how she looks at it, she is outclassed. This is why she is careful in her movements. She is determined to avoid running into one of those creatures.]

[Needless to say, that is impossible.]

Day 3

[Bazett is already dead by this day. She will not wake up until the next day, and when she does, she will wonder if the last days were but a nightmare when she sees her reconstructed house.]
