The premise sounds really interesting, though I think you were trying to deal with two big topics at once: Hikaru n' kids, and Kuroki Sadao, and it didn't engage either very strongly... but maybe you just ran out of time? I'd be really interested in reading more of this!

What did really strike me was the way you looked at how the pros have all changed through the years: Ogata getting old, even Waya, and then Touya Kouyo's death. That set the tone of the fic well.
