To
grokfairy:
I lied. The sun does shine here. And the temperature can go up to 35, even though it's only May. I have lovely lobster-coloured skin to prove it.
To the rest of you fuckers:
Today I've been able to relax for the first time in over a week. And why, do you ask? Well, my brother was here and of course I had to baby him show him this place. But we didn't really get to see all the things I would've liked. There are several reasons for this, the biggest one being that my Mikki had to go to the hospital. He was rushed there on Thursday night, and after having things removed and recovering for a week he's now back home, better than ever. More or less, anyway. Well, at least I got to find out where the hospital here is, which can come in handy.
On Tuesday I took my brother to Bilbao to see the Guggenheim museum for the third time. I love it more every time I go there. I've never really been interested in art, especially not modern art, but this place seems to be opening my otherwise closed mind. Yay!
Yesterday I went shopping in Bilbao which was kind of redundant, since they have exactly the same shops as here and exactly the same prices (a lot higher than in most other cities in Spain). But it's somehow obligatory to shop when you're there. Probably because you're not going to spend your time admiring the amazing view, like you would here ;)
Today was spent at a nude beach just across the French border, which is why I'm sunburnt in places that I didn't even know could get sunburnt.
To Steini and the rest of my family:
You still haven't learned how to pick up a phone. Did you know it's customary to make a short phonecall when you've arrived safely? You do now...
To myself:
Thank God it'll be cloudy tomorrow!
