Notes: um...it's really cute. Yeah. Like homg...I'm seriously not kidding, it's really cute so you should download it despite the lack of pr0n.
So apparently there's a prequel to this (this is the second book), which I *totally* saw in a Mandarake and now am *kicking* myself for not buying months ago. This book...*sucks a deep breath* OMG. It's not quite as sappy as
Kagami as a squirrel, there's all these adorable pairings and kids being kids and fighting over each others' attentions and...ugh it's just so damn *Kiseki* except totally younger. That just makes them funnier, I think - I really can't decide who's the cutest here: Kise who tries too hard, Aomine who's too desperate, Kagami who's oblivious, Midorima who also tries too damn hard, Murasakibara who's possessive as hell, or Akashi who just "kukuku"s over everything. Um. They're all cute.
(Surprisingly enough, Kagami isn't my favorite in this book. I love him oblivious, of course, but...Midorima really gets to me. He tries so damn hard! In the face of Kise's "effortless kawaii" powers! And OMFG...can I please live in Akashi's house? It looks *gorgeous*...*sob* Kise totally admires it but the other kids are like "Meh". Man, can't you appreciate what's in front of you JUST A LITTLE MORE!!!)
The art is amazing, as you can see. This girl uses more tones than a lot of other people but...it's not bad. It makes the characters kind of soft and shiny, which is how I usually envision kids to be anyway. The uh, politics of this...awkward love hexagon (septagon?? Or polygon on one side and triangle on the other??) are shown in very good pace that covers a lot of things and also, it really feels like you don't need to read the first one to jump into the story (well, at least I didn't feel I needed to). The expressions really get me - geez, they're kids, but every time they start getting into a tug-of-war over the person they like, I think back to canon and remember when their older counterparts talked to each other and/or fanworks that depict those same pairings. It's pretty hard to connect all of those together! Yet this doujinshi manages to add without taking anything away.
And...well. The last few pages get me. Kuroko's happy smile (well...at least 1 member of their sleepover thought it ended okay...) made me squeal. His devotion to Kagami is also quite strong - I wonder if that developed in the first book? DAMMIT I want it!
Anyways,
get it here on Mediafire, and enjoy the cuteness!
