listening to Meatloaf's "Anything for love", I had the idea of putting together a compilation of all-time classic rock ballads.  Then I started thinking about what to put on it... any additions to the list are welcome

OK, withdraw that and substitute Lying eyes - The Eagles

ah, now, Eagles... what was that thing they did in 2007 or thereabouts... ah yes, "Long road out of Eden".

qualifies on length, definitely :)

and yes, Lying eyes is definite ballad, but not really rock, IMO and by my idea of what is "rock".
