Started making it, but I find that I don't have a complete Bendix assembly to look at, in particular, I don't have the fat washer which goes on after the spring and has a groove for the circlip. I need the O/D of that washer, if anyone has one to hand and can measure it. I recall it being slightly smaller than the spring, so the plate which is

one thing it will likely need is the outer sill panels, that long thin bit under the doors. It shouldn't be an MOT fail, but it's had seat belts fitted and might come under the "within 12" rule. Mind, I told the garage chap that if that were the case I could remove the belts, being 1958 it doesn't have to have them fitted :-)

I can get new orange bits, though I forget how much - be worth a check on prices for new ones, I guess, to avoid paying over the odds.

I've just got a new phone (LG GW520) last week, after the display on the Nokia b0rked. I had to re-gather people's numbers from other places; I think yours is newer than 3 years old so should be OK.

There are some spares supposedly on the way, including a gearbox which it sounds like it'll need: first and reverse have a nasty knock which is probably a damaged tooth or so. Other gears aren't bad. The speedo behaves a bit erratically so might be looking for one of those sometime... had this with the LR ones in the series, sometimes they get to waving around wildly somewhere in the general vicinity of the correct speed.
