Printer

Assuming the newly-acquired monster (well, A3) printer works as it should, I shall have a spare printer around shortly. It's a HP Business Inkjet 1100D, A4, separate ink tanks, in good nick but several years old. It's got the auto-duplexer which works, and is rather nifty if for example you print any amount of stuff that you want double-sided.

Does about 4800x1200 max in photo mode, and will do photo paper, I've a vague idea that you can do straight paper feed from the back for heavier media, but don't quote me on that.

It's surplus mainly because HP no longer update the drivers, so it won't really work properly on Vista or 7 (or for that matter, XP x64). You can make it print and even do auto-duplex by using the driver for the officejet K550 (IIRC) but all the printer tools and stuff obviously don't work.

Anyone interested? Make me an offer. I think there's a fair amount of the various inks in it, and the black one is the large capacity which lasts for ages, unless you're in the habit of printing pictures of black cats in coal cellars. Hard to say what it's worth, it cost quite a lot new and the current one (the 2800) which is newer and faster is about 300 quid from HP. Strolling around ebay, I reckon it's worth about 50 quid, mainly 'cos of the duplexer which IIRC was an extra-cost option.
