Today I have been mostly spending.

I bought christmas booze in Waitrose:

Aberlour 16-YO
Janneau Armagnac 8-YO
Graham's Tawny Port.
Amarula
Crabbies Green Ginger Wine
Labrot and Graham Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon.

The first-named is one I've not had before, although I've had the normal 10-YO version. The last-named I sampled in one of the local pubs where they used to have a bottle (and I've no idea how/why, it's hardly local tipple) and was much impressed; very palatable. It's an unusual find in a UK supermarket. For the non-experts, it's roughly the bourbon equivalent of a single malt.

They had other interesting bottles, too: Hine Cognac, genuine Russian Vodka, an odd Vodka distilled in France(!) and so on. Worth a visit if you're into the spiritous beverages, a much better choice than the average supermarket and also better than the typical chain-offy.

Downside, as ever... spent about 110 quid. eek.
