Phoned them this ack emma, I was about to go off on one about the idea that I had to pay a 15 quid deposit, but the girl who answered had obviously been on the receiving end before and spiked my guns with an apology - they used to send out replacement parts for nowt, but found too many piss-takers, hence the deposit. Which will be returned when I send the dud back; I could have avoided the deposit by sending the dud back first, when they would have replaced it, but that takes longer and sooner or later someone in authorioty is going to notice the absence of the starboard headlamp, or to be more accurate, the absence of light therein and therefrom.
In fact, one of these makes plenty of light for normal on-road driving.
Seems reasonable if they get quite a few piss-takes. Bit of drain on a business if they send out replacements and don't get the duds back to take up with the manufacturer.
Well, replacement ballast unit arrived as promised. So went outside as it wasn't raining by some fluke... fitted it (without actually screwing it in place)... no light. WTF

I shouldn't laugh but I will.
Agree though that if it can be inserted either way and one doesn't work then they should make the instructions clearer.
