If, as I suspect, the BT homehub 2 which is in a friend's house will not allow of using wireless network to gain access in their caravan which is roughly 50 yards from the house...
will a wireless repeater thingy be any good for making it work, or would it be better to run a cat5 cable from house to caravan? The caravan is due to stay put, I suspect, for a while. Of course, a wireless thingy could be on the other end of the cat5, so that the laptop etc can connect wirelessly if they want.
how far will cat5 go?
None of the wireless repeaters I (briefly) googled up make any claims about range.
