My new User Picture was an icon I made for myself when I was in England. I had downloaded a bunch of Kim Possible icons, and had free time on my hands - so I made myself in the same style. I had to reduce the size a little for here, but it works.

Given how close the popular vote was, I think a binary coloring of the map gives a distorted picture of how evenly the country is split. If the map was colored with shades of blue and red, then you get this, which is far more accurate:

But it's colors are reversed for some reason. It also doesn't include the color key in the image. It's a great site though. Break down for all the elections and how the states voted. (It doesn't use a blending scale though, the brighter the colors the closer the race was)
