My new User Picture was an icon I made for myself when I was in England. I had downloaded a bunch of Kim Possible icons, and had free time on my hands - so I made myself in the same style. I had to reduce the size a little for here, but it works.

Also, here's food for thought

Not food for thought. More like how would the food taste if I were to live in say....the Netherlands?

I know a guy who lives in the Netherlands, well kinda. Met him on a flight back from Sweden, and then ended up taking the same train back into central London. From what I can tell, they've got an amazing socialist health care and education system - i.e. it's free for anyone, as long as you get a ticket out there. Also, he seemed like a good guy. He never got around to emailing me though. Oh well.

Also, if that map was reversed, and there were so few red areas would you not have a much more "Ha, in your face. Learn to be a minority" attitude about the whole thing?

I'm not sure if your question was rhetorical but I'm not sure I'd have that mindset. However, I am a big proponent of socialist health care and a firm believer that eventually our country will follow Marxist theory and we will progress to such policy.

I really want to remain positive about where our country will go. It's just becoming increasingly more difficult to keep that mindset. If it were reversed I'd be more likly to jump with joy rather than be a cynic. I'm just waiting for that day.

Perhaps, we can cross our fingers together?

PS-I want a fun play on words with Rachel....so far at work the only fun thing that I could come up with had nothing to do with my name.

Color me Negasorous Rex!

Of course we can cross our fingers together. I'm a big fan of socialized medicine as well - though I definately do not feel the need to follow the whole Marxist train of thought outside of Eutopia. (Of course, I don't know the whol train of thought)

I don't dislike Bush enough to be angry about the outcome of the election though. I'm a firm believer in things happening for a reason.

But don't worry, society has been dramatically divided before - hopefully we'll swing back on the social pendulum without a civil war. Because no matter what, the Red states would win that one.

Hmm... as for a play on your name. Rachel is a hard.

Rachel Aborat
Rachel Ocution (this gets my vote)
or
Rachel Niño

I figured you wouldn't go for Rach Tarded. ;)
