I seriously doubt,
That I’ll stop breathing in these toxins,
For I am always surrounded by enemies.
I seriously doubt,
That I’ll be remembered in this world,
For I am but the fly on your bedroom wall.
I seriously doubt,
That I’ll ever be able to love another,
For I am the one that you always look through.
I seriously doubt,
That my cries will fall upon an angel ear,
For I am the sinner who loves to pay with scars.
I seriously doubt,
That my heart will beat twixt headaches,
For I am the serpent that coils around her throat.
I seriously doubt,
That I can stand again with weightless hope,
For I am the abyss that soils souls with disgust.
I seriously doubt,
That I can be heard in this world by any one,
For I am but a memory fading into an echo.
