Mirrormask

Has anyone seen Mirrormask? I just got done watching it, and what a strange film! It's a little slow to start, but it's a visual feast! Written by Neil Gaiman of Sandman fame, and directed by Dave McKean, who did the cover art for Sandman and a ton of other Gaiman projects, the film shows the unique style of both of its creators. It's a coming of age story of a young girl, rather like Labyrinth was (and it's also a Henson movie---go figure), but where Labyrinth was comic-booky, this one is gothy and strange and maybe even a little dark. I wish I could describe it better! But if you've ever seen McKean's art, the movie looks just like it, only moving! Even if it turns out not to be your cup of tea, it's worth it just to look at it. :)
