Flapper dresses now, yes? And fedoras?

I saw The Rise of Skywalker and came out of it feeling much as I did after The Last Jedi (read: it didn't improve my opinion of the path it chose to take with The Force Awakens). They obviously tried to make a lot of people happy with this last one (things for the Leia fans! things for the Han fans! the Luke fans! the Rey fans! the Kylo-Ben fans!) and a lot of 'shippers (a kiss for you! a hug for you! an almost-ILU for you! an argument for you!) and while some of those things made me smile a little more than others, I will always remember this trilogy unkindly for the way it broke up Han and Leia, killed Han, and turned Leia into Mary Poppins (among all the other whatthefuckery).

Lost in Space season two was way more enjoyable. Loved all the Maureen and John scenes (kisses! hugs! ILU's! partners! adults being adults!) and loved Penny (again) and it was nice to see more we're-in-space scenes this time. The last episode felt extremely rushed considering the pace of some of the other episodes, though. I mean, I'm all for the kids being off on their own adventure together, and the adults scattered and trying to find them, but a lot of the steps to that seemed truncated.

New year's resolutions I most likely won't keep:
 No. 1: write more!
 No. 2: dreamwidth/LJ regularly.
 No. 3: tumblr more.
 No. ∞: lather, rinse, repeat.
