Dear Author,
Thank you so much! You're writing a story, just for me, for one of my favourite fandoms and that totally makes you one of my favourite people. Hee!
My requests are kinda detailed however optional details are most definitely optional, so as long as the story focuses on my favourite pairing, I will love it dearly. *g*
In general: I love my OTP's and stories about how they get together (as opposed to them already being in an established relationship). I like a little bit of angst so long as there's a happy ending (for my OTP) at the end. I like good spelling, punctuation and grammar, and third person POVs (but not first or second person POVs). I hate character bashing but I have no problem with character deaths if the story requires it (providing the two characters I've requested don't die). I enjoy R and NC17 ratings if the rating is relevant to the plot (ie, no porn just for the sake of porn, pls), but I dislike BDSM, non-con, sub-dom, and rape, etc. I love touching, making out, fighting (physical and/or verbal), sexing (fade to black or not), and banter/good dialogue. Five times styled fics are awesome, as are the more traditional beginning-middle-end.
Grimm (TV), Adalind Schade, Nick Burkhardt
(Adalind/Nick) I would love to see these two forced to work together in some way, fighting on the same side (even if it is reluctantly). Maybe there's an apocalypse and they're the only two left out of the rest of the main characters; a partnership of survival. Maybe they have to road-trip across the country (for whatever reason) and so it's just the two of them, stuck in one car and however many motel rooms, for days on end.
Note: I would not want a fluffy Adalind/Nick fic -- these two are not a love story. Bitterness, reluctance, and grudging acceptance/appreciation are the key words here. Along with maybe a healthy (or unhealthy) dose of lust.
I wouldn't call Adalind/Nick an OTP, per se, but I am intrigued by the possibilities of such a pairing. I have no idea where the show is taking these two but I can easily see them having an ongoing enemies/frenemies deal where sometimes they're hating and fighting each other, and at other times they have a truce of sorts, fighting side by side. Note: I really love that the way Adalind first lost her powers was after Nick kissed her (sort of like an anti-"Sleeping Beauty").
I do like all the characters in this show (especially Monroe and Rosalee), so please no bashing of anyone (including Juliet and Renard, even if Nick and Adalind are still technically with them during the fic). Just write me something featuring Adalind and Nick and I'll love it.
Firefly, River Tam, Jayne Cobb
(River/Jayne) A post-movie fic with these two dealing with some reciprocated UST (leading to RST?) would be awesome. Some random prompts:
- 5 times Jayne disarms River (taken in whatever context you prefer);
- end of the worlds/apocalypse (they're the only two left);
- a job goes wrong (of course it does) and they're forced to go on the run/into hiding together until Mal and the others can come back for them.
I love the fanon of Jayne thinking of River as a weapon (because weapons are definitely what he knows best), and of River finding a measure of peace (especially after being tortured for so long by people with ulterior motives) around Jayne because he's very much "what you see is what you get", so anything based around this will be loved. I also have no issues with River being a little crazy and Jayne being a little clueless (by other people's standards).
I don't necessarily see these two as a fluffy pairing, and on Jayne's side especially I see his attraction to River being initially reluctant, so if you want to take a more gritty/lust-driven path to RST that would be great.
A Song of Ice and Fire - George R. R. Martin, Jaime Lannister, Brienne of Tarth
(Jamie/Brienne) I would dearly love a happily-ever-after for these two. As each book comes out, Jamie's growth from "bad guy" to "misunderstood (trying to be good) guy" is my favourite thing to read about, so something that kicks off after "A Dance with Dragons" and spins an ending that has these two achieving some measure of peace and contentment together would be wonderful. Note: I would prefer that ending not to be at the Wall, if possible -- give them at least a chance for sex even if it's not written.
I love that Brienne makes Jamie want to be a better man, even if he knows he can never truly atone for the sins he committed (and the ones people believe he committed), and I love that these two have both been scarred by the journey Catelyn and the wars have set them on, but they're both still trying to make the best of really bad circumstances anyway.
I have no preference for who eventually wins the Iron Throne, would prefer no Cersei bashing, or dismissal of Jamie's previous love for her (rightly or wrongly, he loved her), and hope Tyrion and Arya both end up still alive at series' end (not that you have to include them in the fic too; I'm just asking that you please don't kill them off).
