Well, Tomas warned me when we arrived yesterday that this was the dirtiest fair I've likely been too yet. He wasn't kidding, and there was no pun involved. The soil here is a mix of sand and extremely fine black powdery soil. When the wind blows, the black fine stuff lifts out of the sand and coats everything. Literally. Everything is filthy. Even me, and I haven't even been here 24 hours yet. It is driving me crazy. But I realize continually cleaning is futile, so I've restrained myself on that count. It doesn't help that this area is apparently in drought conditions.
But it is sunny here, and in the 70's, and I'm feeling great anyway. Getting outside into the warm sun is exactly what I needed. Anyone who doesn't believe Seasonal Affective Disorder exists doesn't know what they are talking about.
And I saw the funniest store name here; "Android USA". I'll have to see what on earth that place is about.
Edit: Added pic; sorry about the quality, it was from a moving car. In reality it wasn't as interesting as my imagination made it out to be;
it is a watch manufacturer.
Anyway, we're having lunch at Cici's, and after that we're headed over to
Hong Kong Lapidary and a couple other places to shop (for the business, not for me!). More later, maybe. Gotta give the Boss his computer back. :)
