Leaving again
I'm taking a short break from getting my suitcases packed. Tomorrow I leave town on another extended trip. I've gotten all the clothing and necessities like that packed up. Now I have to pack up the paperwork, books, technology & work-related things that are going with me. Then I go to the boss' house, and load everything into the car I'm actually driving out in.
In the morning, I get to take trouble131 to the airport, say goodbye to Phil, then head out. In Georgia, I rendezvous with the Boss, and get the business trailer. He heads back to sunny Florida for one last weekend, and I head over to Casta Diva, in Fairburn, to get fitted for trouble131's wedding. She's opted for corsets as part of the dress. I bought one last year from Casta Diva. I've been very pleased with mine, and she has a good choice of fabrics, so it is a natural to get the wedding corsets there.
Afterward I head to Gulf Wars to get set up. I'm likely to get there obnoxiously early (like, two days before they are supposed to let folks in) but the Boss swears he's taken care of arrangements. I hope he has. He and his mom don't arrive on site until late Monday the 11th, after they're done with their last show in Florida. I'll hopefully be set up and ready for business by Sunday afternoon.
At least I'll have someone to talk to. The Boss' brother is making the drive down with me, dropping me off at Gulf, then taking the car home. At least, that is the plan. Hopefully (fingers crossed and knocking on wood) nothing will go catastrophically wrong.
I was going to be stopping at my in-laws' house on the way down, to pick up some camp furniture Dad made for me. I was informed, however, that we have cabin space secured so I don't need to camp... That makes things at least a little easier on me. I don't have to pack my personal tent and added stuff for that. I need to call Dad yet tonight to let him know those plans have changed. I'd better do that now before I forget...
