Merlin - Merlin/Arthur

Even asleep, Arthur is all energy, color and power and so, so bright. The way they are curled together, Merlin can do so much more than see this: the white and soft of Arthur's skin, the half-open red of his lips and the sour warmth of his breath and the deceptive coil of his muscles and the quiet, shifting sounds he sometimes makes and a thousand other things that will become nameless outside of this moment. For now, he tracks his fingers through Arthur's hair and loves that about him, too: the glint of it; the fineness; the way, here, sunlit and blinking in it, Merlin knows it, Arthur, will always shine brighter than its crown.
